Life Begins After Coffee.

Aside from words of affirmation, my love language is coffee. As a 25 year old, I have been drinking coffee for as long as I can remember. For someone who hated going to school, it was how my mom would bribe me to get out of bed every morning. I can still picture it – it was the same routine every day…

She’d pour a hot cup of coffee, add just the right amount of chocolate Coffee-Mate creamer, and sneak into my room each morning at the same time in her robe and slippers. She’d then turn on the bathroom light and leave my cup of coffee on the counter, refusing to bring it to me in bed no matter how much I begged. I’d get up, she’d sit on my bed, and we’d have coffee together while I got ready for school. The smell of coffee still brings me back to those mornings with my mom. To this day, there’s not a morning that doesn’t start with a warm cup of coffee.

Getting Rid of Coffee Stains

As a person who enjoys her coffee a little bit more than the average girl, coffee stains have always been the bain of my existence. From whitening toothpastes to drug store whitening kits, I’ve tried it all. While whitening toothpastes and drug store whitening strips helped keep the stains from getting too bad on the front of my teeth, nothing quite did the trick of getting rid of them – especially on each side of my smile. Whitening strips from the drug store kits could never stay put, causing a frustrating hour of trying not to breathe to keep them in place. Not to mention, they never seemed to make a difference on my real trouble spots (the sides of my smile) due to their poor fit. I gave up halfway through the box, and my wallet started to cringe thinking a dentist was my only saving grace.

At Home Teeth Whitening with Smile Brilliant

When Smile Brilliant reached out to me this summer about trying out their whitening kit, I had heard so many things about it from other bloggers. However, I was a tad skeptical. I mean, how great could it really be? I couldn’t help but think that it was probably just like all the others. Little did I know that a couple weeks later I’d be eating my words.

The process was faster and easier than I could have ever imagined. I simply answered a few questions about my dental history before receiving my whitening kit in the mail. After receiving my kit, I made my teeth molds and sent them back to the Smile Brilliant lab with their provided envelope. I then got my custom fitted whitening trays back about a week or so later to begin whitening. It was so easy! I think I would have spent longer standing in the drug store aisle debating between those awful whitening strips!

The Whitening Process

I whitened my teeth about every other night for about an hour before bed for a few weeks. Not only did I notice a visual change in my smile each and every day, but I also noticed a change in the way my teeth felt. They had that fresh-after-the-dentist clean feeling every day that made me feel so much better.

While I experienced some sensitivity in my gums the first few sessions (like I sometimes do with other whitening products), the Smile Brilliant support staff was amazing in sharing their tips and tricks. My gum sensitivity improved with each use after using the desensitizing gel as I got the hang of applying the whitening gel. I was able to get 4 uses out of each syringe – leaving me with plenty of sessions to get the results I was looking for!

Ever since completing my first whitening session with Smile Brilliant’s custom fitted whitening trays, I have gotten so many wonderful compliments on how white my white looks. The custom fitted trays allowed for the whitening gel to get right into my trouble spots and allow for a more consistent and even whitening experience that couldn’t possibly compare to other whitening products on the market today. Not only do I feel confident in all sides of my smile, but I also feel like I’ve finally said sayonara to those pesky coffee stains!
